The Tokyo Art Foundation(TAF) held a four-day
Christmas event which were co-sponsored by Misuzu Corp, and Tachibana
Publishing Inc. at The Westin Tokyo in Tokyo from Dec.17 to 20.
The venue, which was a few minutes’ walk from
Ebisu Station, was filled with beautifully decorated illuminations. The Westin
Tokyo, one of the luxurious hotels in Tokyo was full of guests who had gathered
to enjoy the Christmas celebration and various entertainment. The show roster
included samba dance, magic, and talk shows with notable guests.
Also in the venue, Misuzu Corp exhibited
timepieces from about 70 watchmakers, jewelry and perfumes of various brands
for an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Misuzu, one of the co-sponsors runs Handa
Watch World which is a retailer with five stores across Japan. The fifth store
has just opened in November in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture.
Dr.Haruhisa Handa, the chairman of TAF and
president of Misuzu and Tachibana Publishing, performed his artistic talent in
opera, noh, drama, painting and calligraphy. He also sang live and displayed
his paintings in the venue hall.
Hiroshi Fujioka, a famous Japanese actor and
martial artist who starred in TV commercials for Handa Watch World, appeared in
the talk show with Dr.Handa on Dec.19.
