In addition, at the award ceremony in the final day, Norio Suzuki of the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO) acknowledged the success of the first ISPS Handa Global Cup. He said, "JGTO intends to train Japanese golfers to be globally successful players. We also want to contribute to society through golf. On these two points, Handa and I have something in common. "
Mr.Suzuki and Dr.Handa appeared to be happy that the first champion of the ISPS Handa Global Cup was Japanese.
